About Frumi
For forty years I taught K-6 classroom music and musical theater. The year I retired, I went to Iceland, and discovered photography. My photographs have since been juried into shows, and have been winners in competitions.
After a couple of years, I took classes in pencil, charcoal and pastel and now I am drawing cartoons and experimenting with encaustic painting and cold wax medium and oils.
Here, I am presenting a selection of the photography and paintings I am most proud of. Most are available for purchase. As you browse my site, take time to see things though my lens.
If anyone told me that I would spend my life after retiring from a career in music, doing photography and painting, I would have told them to go jump in a lake. But if I’ve learned anything in the past four years, it’s that creating is creating, and that you never know. I’ve also learned to not to tell anyone, no matter what they say to you, to go jump in a lake.
